Have to make a correction or two. So here goes again.
When you enter your Best chocolate chip cookie, your Cutest apron, your Sweetest crocheted/knitted item, or your Coolest science experiment, You will have to enter them into these categories and they will all receive a green-and-white gingham rosette to show everyone that they were entered in the “coolest” categories…these gingham rosettes are worth $2.00 so you get $2 for entering. plus the 1st place winner receives a solid green 4-H rosette – worth $5. The second place winner gets a blue ribbon ($3). The 3rd place winner gets a red ribbon ($1). Now isn’t that cool.


Enter Produce at the Sanpete County Fair
Enter the produce so you can sell your produce at the Kids’ Farmer’s Market - you receive a green-and-white gingham ribbon ($2) for the produce that you enter and get to keep the money you make at the Kids’ Market. You can sell your produce from 1-7 Saturday afternoon. You must sign up to participate with Cheryl, 283-7599, by Friday at 7:00.

The Next Rabbit Club meeting
The next meeting of the rabbit project is at 4:00 PM at Flo Yearsly house on the 18th of July.

Scrapbooking Day Camp – 2 Day Event – $15 per person, space limited to 12 per class
Choose one of these two dates -- Wednesday-Thursday, July 21st & 22nd or Wednesday-Thursday, July 28th-29th
Participants will make 6 scrapbook pages in the following themes: Birthday, Friends, School, Family, Fun in the Sun, and Dance (or soccer or other sport). For more info have them contact cheryl.bartholomew@usu.edu or 238-7599.


Volunteers Needed to Judge Juab Co. Fair
On August 11. Please plan to join us. They need 35 People.
They are a good one to judge because of the lovely lunch, the amount of stuff, and the friendships that are built. Plan on Joining us on August 11 – If you carpool, you’ll receive gas money.


4-H Science Name Change
Nationally the name of the 4-H SET (Science, Engineering and Technology) Mission Mandate has been shortened to 4-H Science. We are still doing science, engineering, technology and applied math.


Election of officers
Nominations are invited for President-Elect and Secretary. Nominations will be accepted from now until the August meeting, August 14, 2010. At the meeting nominations will be asked for at the start of the meeting and then nominations will be closed. An election of officers will occur at that point. The officers elected will be inducted during the September meeting, and will assume duties at the September meeting. The outgoing and incoming officers will be recognized at the September 30 Achievement Night.


Office in Centerfield
Every Thursday, 12-4, at the City Hall. We have an office there so people in Axtell, Centerfield, Gunnison, and Fayette don’t have to drive all the way to Ephraim. We have a free DVD about some of the shows I did on Video/tv for all of those people who stop by.


Lagoon Tickets available at the Extension office for August 15th-20th. All ages. $24.00 + tax.


4-H TRY Teams "Try Space"
Our partners at Thanksgiving Point received a grant from NASA for a variety of space education programs and exhibits. This grant included $ to train 4-H TRY teams Fall 2010 at Thanksgiving Point, in a new 4-H TRY content area that includes solar system exploration. We have a limited # of spots we can pay teams lodging/mileage. If you are interested in having a team attend the training (Friday night/Saturday event) and include a # of youth/leaders and estimated travel costs. Box Elder Ranch Roundup & Working Ranch Horse Gathering
Box Elder Ranch Roundup and Working Ranch Horse Gathering will be November 12-13, 2010 @ the Box Elder Fairgrounds. Join us for a Ranch Rodeo, dinner, and more Friday night. Saturday will be our Working Ranch Horse Gathering. This two-day event will have something for everyone so bring the family and bring your friends!

Channel 10 News Show
Watch Channel 10 at 7:30, 12:30, and 5:30 for the news recorded each week in conjunction with Sanpete Messenger newspaper. Extension is on. Either Matt or I will be hosting it weekly.
