May 8, the second Saturday, 8:45-11, is science workshops for kids. Don’t tell anyone but they will be making gifts for Mom, Grandma, Etc. – for Mother’s Day!
Floating candles, bath salts, and body scrub! Gift wrapped! There will also be a volcano that you will make “blow Up”. Then from 11-1 is the Youth Leadership team (YLT) for the older kids…the teachers of the Science classes…Where this time the books are ready for the Braille words to be added – Yippee! To register before tomorrow night, contact 283-7583 or cheryl.bartholomew@usu.edu to get the registration fee of $1 if a 4-H member and $3 if not.
4-H Food Contests Questions and See Where They Happen
May 15 and 22 are available for us to hold these sessions. I will be there to answer questions about what you are planning to prepare, what to wear, what exactly you need to do, and of course let you see where you will be doing it. 4-H Food Contests to be held in June 19
Awesome prizes! this year! Chef Extraordinaire is an individual, or team of two, preparing and serving a meal for 4 guests and a judge within a 3-hour time limit. Healthy Cuisine is an individual, or team of two, preparing and serving a quick, nutritious meal in one hour.
In the Favorite Foods contest, participants are judged on selection, knowledge, and presentation of a favorite food. Contact Anita at anita.raddatz@usu.edu or 435.610.1147 with questions or to sign up.

Have you gotten your 9th-12th grade youth registered for the Lake Tahoe Leadership Summit camp yet? This will take place this summer, July 5-9th, 2010, and we will be taking 56 participants (46-youth and 10-adult chaperones) and Mississippi 4-H’ers will be joining Utah 4-H! Registration will be on a first come first serve basis, and ALL FORMS AND MONEY must be submitted by May 31st, 2010, but we suggest you apply early to reserve your spot. Please let your 4-H’ers know.
