Just wanted to be sure you receive the information about entering still life exhibits, not animals, online for the Sanpete county Fair 2009 – see below.Help is available today through Friday, Aug 21, with registering 4-H exhibits online, at the Extension office 325 W 100 N, Ephraim. Call 283-7597 for an appt. see complete info below. You can register online until Monday, Aug 24, at noon; help is only available until Friday Aug 21. come learn how and finish at home.Fair is too fun to miss! see below.

Contact Cheryl Bartholomew to schedule a time: 4hsanpete@gmail.com or 283 7599.· Fashion Revue – the modeling portion – will occur at 1:00 pm on Aug 29; participants must enter their garment in the fair as an exhibit to participate. when checking in on Monday, Aug 24, let us know the garment will be used for Fashion Revue. Fashion Revue participants will need to arrive no later than 12:00 Noon pm on August 29 to pick up their garment and change and meet as a group. A $2 blue ribbon award will be given to all participants. Juab County and Sanpete County are providing judges for each other’s fair. Judging may sound stern and scary – but it is fun! We carpool to Nephi so you don’t have to drive. After a “welcome” and a brief overview of where exhibits are, we select or are assigned a category to judge. A scoresheet exists for every category so you know what to look for. If you have an area of expertise, every effort is made to have you judge that area. Lunch is provided. The time commitment is 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 (or earlier). People who judge fairs are so fun to be with. Juab County Fair provides an assistant for the section where you judge – and they are wonderful.· Adult 4-H Volunteers to take a turn in the 4-H Exhibit space providing “security” for the items during the time that the building is open to the public. A 2-hour commitment is requested.· Adult 4-H Volunteers to assist judges on August 25, 8:00 a.m. to Noon with lunch provided. We will ask that you not assist a judge that is judging your 4-H’ers’ exhibit category.· Adult 4-H Volunteers to help display the 4-H exhibits after judging: 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Aug 25.Sanpete County 4-H Exhibit Building Schedule· Aug 24 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Entries, except gardening, checked in at 4-H Exhibit Building· Aug 25 9:00 -10:00 gardening check in. Building closed for judging.· Aug 26 4-H Exhibit Space open 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.· Aug 27-29 4-H Exhibit Space open 11:00 – 7:00· Aug 27-29 Public Speaking ($5 award); see above.· Aug 29 4-H Fashion Revue 1:00 pm; see above.· Aug 29 Volunteer Recognition 3:00 pm· Aug 31 MONDAY Pick up entries, prizes, and awards 3-7:00 pm4-H Exhibition Space· The 4-H Exhibition Space provides the opportunity for enrolled 4-H youth members to show their “blue ribbon” quality projects created since last year’s fair.· NEW THIS YEAR: All entries must be registered online no later than midnight of August 23. Only those entries registered online will be the entries for this year’s fair. No Exceptions! Be sure to print out the tags for each of the entries and attach to the entries – that way the items are ready for check in. See schedule.· All entries must be stable enough to be handled and moved. If items can be hung, a hanger must be attached. Food items must not need refrigeration and will not be returned without arrangements when checked in.· 4-H members are allowed an unlimited number of total entries but with no more than one exhibit per lot within a class. If the class does not have lots listed, they are considered to only have one lot. Exceptions: Food Preservation (3 bottles of different fruit and 3 bottles of different vegetables) and Gardening (unlimited in each lot).
